Refreshing Web Feed for RDP Apps

After changes in the Jenzabar side, users must either logout and log back in, or manually refresh their webfeed to see the latest apps. This articles walks you through how to do the latter. 

  1. Press the Start Menu on your computer
  2. Type "Control Panel" to begin a search
  3. Click on "Control Panel"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Change the view on the top right corner of the window to a "Large Icon" or "Small Icon" view, so you can see all options

  5. Click on "RemoteApp and Desktop Connections"

  6. Click on "Properties" next to the "Wartburg RemoteApps"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  7. Click "Update Now"

  8. A pop up will appear, wait for it to load

  9. A success message should appear shortly after
  10. You may click finish and close the control panel window. If the success message does not appear, please contact ITS via the Techhub.

 

Note: you may add additional webfeeds by clicking "Access RemoteApp and desktops" after step 6 and following the steps below:

  1. Click "Access RemoteApp and desktops"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Type in the webfeed address and click nextUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Click next againUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  4. You may need to login with the credentials for the given webfeed (Usually Wartburg's first.last + password)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. A progress bar will appear - just wait for it

  6. You will receive a confirmation message that the new webfeed has completed successfully
