The process itself is very succinct, but there are several steps to it. You'll find a brief overview below followed by a step by step explanation with screen shots.
If you are just looking for a reminder on how to do this, here it is:
- Open InfoMaker (this creates a new IM.ini file)
- Close InfoMaker
- Open the InfoMaker Configuration Tool
- Apply all settings
- Map the databases
- Apply any remaining settings (these last 3 steps configure that IM.ini file)
- Re-open InfoMaker
- Login with your Appeon Account if you haven't yet.
Now to the Step by Step:
- Open InfoMaker
- To do so, click on your Start Menu and scroll down to the W section, and expand the "Wartburg RemoteApps (RADC)" folder
(Windows 11 Users may need to click "All Apps >" on the top right corner of the Start Menu to see the list of apps/folders)
- Inside of the "Wartburg RemoteApps (RADC)" folder, click on the InfoMaker IDE Icon
- You may be prompted to login. If you do, follow these steps:
- Click "Connect"
- Use your Wartburg credentials with a "Wartburg\" in front of your username, then click "OK"
- If you see a message for "The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway?" Click Yes. You may also check the checkbox below so it doesn't ask you again
- Ignore any prompts and close the app
- You may need to click the X button on the login pop up first, followed by the X button for the entire application
- Under the same Wartburg RemoteApps (RADC)" folder run the "Infomaker Configuration Tool for J1 Desktop"
- On the Infomaker Configuration tool, under the "Recommended" tab click apply all settings
-
If you receive the message below, just click "OK"
- Under the "Optional" tab, move over all of the database profiles by clicking the ">>" button
- Sometimes, not all settings get applied on the first time, so please ensure they are by re-doing step 4. You may click "Close" after that
- Re-open InfoMaker as explained on step 1
- If you are not logged in, already, sign in to Appeon by clicking "Activate" and using you Appeon credentials
- If you forgot your Appeon password, click "Reset Password" on the bottom of the login popup or use this URL on your preferred browser: https://login.appeon.com/forgot-password, and follow the prompts to reset your password.
- In Infomaker, click on the DB Profile button in the toolbar to open the Database Profiles dialog window. Click on "ODB ODBC" and select "J1 Desktop," click "Connect" then click "close".
- The Wartburg Reports are located in "D:\WRT\Jenzabar\Custom\Additional Reports"
